Building boom

.There is a lot of construction going on here in Nazca.  Piles of sand like this are along the streets everywhere.  They use it to make the mortar for the adobe.  After they do the adobe, some people will cover it with cement or tile so it looks nicer.You don't see alot of ground level construction, but add ons at upper levels.

                         This is the same building in the above picture but taken several weeks later.

We've had  a few earthquake tremors and I don't think I would like to be on the staircase for one of them.

I don't know where they get the trees for their 2 x 4's , but they are very innovative in using what they have.

You will see part of piles like this along the street as they begin building.
